FREE Hiking and Uphill Pedaling for Thunderbird Guests
Spider Mountain’s new Eagle View Hiking Trail is available for free to guests at Thunderbird Lodge. Additionally, uphill riding passes are free of charge for Thunderbird Lodge guests that would like to ride the bike trails while the lift is closed. Please stop by the Thunderbird Lodge office before heading out.

Located in Texas Hill Country just an hour outside of Austin, Spider Mountain is home to Texas’ first and only lift-served mountain bike park and the only lift-served, year-round mountain bike park in the U.S.
The first chairlift in Texas provides mountain bikers with 350 vertical feet of gravity-fueled fun! From the top, you have the choice of nine trails ranging from beginner to expert to bring you back to the bottom of the lift.
