Things to Do at Thunderbird Lodge

Full-day and half-day pontoon boat rentals available at the lodge office, or by calling 512-756-4878, as well as kayak and paddleboard rentals.

The pool area at Thunderbird has been recently renovated and has a large deck with views of the lake, as well as a covered gazebo. There is no lifeguard on duty.

Lake Buchanan is renowned for its excellent bass fishing, and there are multiple guide services in the area

Volleyball nets, basketball, horseshoes, and playgrounds are available on our resort grounds.

Year-round lift-served mountain biking at Spider Mountain is located onsite. Bike, helmet and protective gear rentals available.

Our dedicated hiking trail is free and unlimited for lodge guests on non-operational days. On operational days, lift-accessed hiking is included with the purchase of a day use ticket.
